Born in Kisslegg in South Germany in 1971, designer Markus Lupfer studied fashion design in Germany before transferring to the University of Westminster from 1995 - 1997, where he graduated with first class honours. Lupfer's final year collection was immediately sold to Koh Samui and his own label, Markus Lupfer, was born in December 1998. Markus, now permanently based in London, has become renowned for his use of print, experimentation with colours, exceptional knitwear and the intricate use of leather. With celebrity endorsement as diverse as Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Jade Jagger and Lady Helen Taylor, Markus Lupfer has become a firm favourite with high profile, intelligent, well-dressed women who will not be able to resist his ultimately feminine knitwear.
